Let’s meet
I am Serg, an experienced Web Developer from sunny Yerevan, Armenia.
I started learning programming when I was 20. I worked in two local companies, then decided to start freelancing. Freelancing was fun, I liked it, I improved my English a lot, learned how to talk to clients, and how to land contracts.
Then, when I realized that I could get more than one project, I created a team of developers, to provide web development services for people abroad. We were focused on Upwork and other freelance platforms, but after successfully working with some clients, we started to get a lot of references and didn’t need to get new clients from other platforms, they started to contact us themselves.
2020. Covid.
I moved to Germany for 2 years and joined a fast-growing startup while keeping my team. Obviously, being split between two things had its effect. While my team was doing a great job, it was hard to grow it as my time was limited due to my full-time job. COVID also had its impact, we lost 3 clients because they stopped getting funding. And that regress continued until the end of 2023/beginning of 2024. I eventually closed my company, which I had for the past 7 years.
And found out about Indie Hackers.
But that’s another story…
I hope you enjoyed the story.
Let me know your thoughts by simply replying to this email and introducing yourself, I want to know about each of you.
Have a wonderful day.
Sincerely Yours,
Serg
